5:37 a.m. - Well, I'm worried for this weekend.  The forecast is for beautiful weather all week and weekend.  So why am I worried?  The forecast for this past weekend was a rainout beginning Saturday night into this morning, and we maybe saw a few drops.  The temp and humidity are sure high right now!  I'm definitely wearing shorts today, and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with a 1:30 dismissal due to the heat.

Later today I'm supposed to have a junior high softball game at Mercer County.  There are storms forecasted for today, but they are supposed to stay north.  Then again, we were supposed to have rain all weekend.  I guess we'll just see what Mother Nature throws at us.

I think pay day is tomorrow, and I think this should be the first paycheck under the new contract.  I'm not expecting a "windfall" of new money, but I'm interested to see how much of a difference there will be and if other teachers will notice a change as well.

The best news is that we are looking at a camping weekend!  Scott County Park or bust!  Let's get through this week and get in an extended holiday weekend in the Eagle...a little time to rest, relax, connect, and just enjoy a little quiet time!

• need to finish lesson plan questions on evaluwise

• completed lesson plans for classes tomorrow 8-30

• Attempt to complete IHSA volleyball officiating promotion - 9/6-9/13
