5:39 a.m. - I survived another open house night last night. We did it a little differently this year - hosted a genuine open house versus the scheduled presentation mode like the previous years. The turnout wasn't great; I maybe saw 15-20 parents. On the other hand, parents were able to tour the renovated classrooms in my wing and also meet faces with names, and those things are important too. Plus, I took the opportunity to get things done that were on my list. I think I've got the classroom pretty close to being "ready". The custodial/maintenance folks still need to install some things, but the wall being removed just provides a bit more of a relaxing environment. Tonight, the volleyball officiating season begins - I'm at United Township with Braeden. I'm not suggesting I'm thrilled, but I'm a whole lot less nervous that I was when I started out.
I haven't been as good as monitoring my meals and weight in recent posts - 240.4. I'd really like to get to 200, but "liking" doesn't really get my body weight there.
