Monday, September 7

2:59 p.m. -   We had a nice Labor Day Weekend at Loud Thunder.  As usual, our neighbors were interesting.  I did get two nice hikes in yesterday and today with the walking sticks.  Yesterday, I did all of the Bridal Trail, and today I hiked the south sauk-fox trail from the horse corral to the park office.  Both hikes were about 45 minutes.  On my hike today I considered writing a book on the history of the Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, which may be something I want to consider more.  Now I'm back home in scramble mode to get ready for the upcoming week.  I did get some yardwork done and helped out the neighbor wack some weeds in his backyard.  I need to take a break from the computer and get back to it later on today.  There are still a lot of things on my list to get done today.
