Tuesday, November 4

5:20 a.m. - I had a horrible night sleeping last night.  I couldn't slow down my brain and then I had dreams that seemed so real and so weird.  Maybe I'm having trouble with the whole time change idea.  

Yesterday was okay.  It was a quiet day, which was nice, and I got some things done I needed to get done.   After school, I was able to get home and get the camper winterized and the pool heater blown out, so it's now ready for winter too.  The forecast is calling for cold temps next week, so those were two items I needed to get done.  There are still a lot of items on the to-do list, but those were big ones.  

Today things are going to pick up at school.  Plus, I got a call last night about something I'm going to need to address.  Those are never very fun phone calls.

Monday, November 3

5:00 a.m. - Today could be a rough one.  We are coming off of the last full day of school being last Tuesday.  Returning from long weekends is often difficult for students.  And when their lives are difficult, they often end up in my office. 

The weather is allowing for a few more nice fall days before temps get cold.  So today after school, I need to get busy and winterize the plumbing in the camper.  I also need to blow out the pool heater.  There are other things I can do, but those are the most important items today. 

But we are in November, so let's keep swimming!

Sunday, November 2

7:12 p.m. - It's been a long, long day.  I started off at the campground, got the camper back home, and got the yard mowed.  Also, I organized the garage.  I have a lot of stuff to do still, but today was a full, full day.  

Because we turned the clocks back an hour last night, it seems very late tonight.  

I hope to make it through tomorrow and this week and still get much done off of the list I wrote.

Even though there is still a lot to do, it's been an awesome four weekends of having the camper away from home.  The Fall is the best time of the year for camping.  I think I've made up my mind not to do any officiating next October, perhaps the whole Fall.  The Eagle spent 10 nights in Fort Madison, a week at Loud Thunder, and a week at West Lake...what a great way to complete the end of the camping season.
