Monday, October 13

6:27 a.m. - What a wonderful weekend.  Friday, it was just Amber and I at the Rodeo Park.  Saturday was all day with Carmen, Tyler, and Caleb.  We went to Dutchman's Store, Bel-Mart, Harvestville, and Appleberry's before returning to the Rodeo Park and playing on the playground.  Then on Sunday, it was the Southwells, the Lees, and Grandma Rhonds on to Appleberry's, Harvestville, and Hinterland Dairy.  Then Carmen and Tyler came to the campground to have some supper with us.  Then it was Carmen and me together today taking an adventure to Keokuk.  We started out at a little coffee shop in Fort Madison, and then we went to the national cemetery in Keokuk and then the park with the statue of Keokuk, then over the bridge to Hamilton, IL, and then back to Keokuk for some lunch at Dr. Getwell's.  We wrapped up the day with some ice cream at Hall's.  And how to end the weekend - by mowing the yard when I got home!  Now let's watch the Bears win.

Friday, October 10

4:54 a.m. - I've been looking to get to today.  Yesterday was long, but it wasn't as long as other days this week.  One of the students I've been dealing with was in my office for most of the day, but I think I made some progress with him.  Let's see if that holds.  I've had two staff issues to work through this, but I think I'm through the worst of those two things.  I did get the camper to Fort Madison.  The campground we are trying out this time isn't as nice, but it will be fine, and it's cheap.  

Today is a half day with students.  I may be able to get some things done in my office today.  Let's get to the weekend.

Thursday, October 9

4:48 a.m. - Yesterday was awful.  I spent the day from about 10:30 to the end of the day testing my patience level dealing with what basically an in-school suspension with a second grade boy.  On top of that, another second grade boy was misbehaving at the end of the day, and I just couldn't cover it all by myself, so I had to call Deputy Rasso to help me.  And then it was off to officiating basketball at Mercer County Junior High.  I was concerned the old legs wouldn't be able to work, but they did.  I got through it. 

On to today.  It's truly been a bad week.  Just keep swimming.  

I'm not a fan of admin meetings, but I have one this afternoon.  I hope the building just stays quiet and staff are just able to do their jobs.  I'd like to get the camper to Fort Madison this afternoon.
