5:14 a.m. - Yesterday was another peaceful day - two in a row for the week. I worked in the pool a bit, and then went to ICE for some work there. Then I went and took care of Harrison dogs before Amber and I went out to a "birthday eve" by going to a new restaurant in Moline. It was something different, but I wasn't all that impressed.
So Amber's birthday is today, and I hope to help her have a nice birthday, but not until later this evening. That's because I have an administrator's academy today. I think it should be okay - perhaps at least doable. The title involves leadership lessons from Gettysburg. Amber and I went to Gettysburg a few years ago and prior to the trip I spent a lot of time learning about the event. If I have to complete an AA every year, at least this might be something of interest.
Amber and I are then headed over to Davenport for supper and the Rhythm City Casino.
