5:18 a.m. - Last week was a long week. I hope this week has a little "less" to it.
Yesterday, I went to the farm and helped my mom and dad with some yard work on the front side of their yard. The work included trimming low branches on trees, removing crap trees from near the house, and trimming the bushes. The south wind was still hot with high temps, but the wind did help. We got done by about lunchtime, which helped but getting done before the real heat settled in. When I got back home, I cleaned up and then went to the Strachans party - I think that's the last retirement party of the 24-25 school year. Then it was back home to get in the pool with the guests that were here. I finished up the day by going to get a shake and then having some spaghetti that Amber had made. I did watch pieces of the NBA Finals - OKC won, but I really didn't care much about the game. The NBA game just isn't basketball to me.
Today I'm going to try to get some things done. It's still windy, so I won't be spraying weeds. I think I'll be taking the truck to get my bicycle to a shop for repair. I'm not sure what the rest of the day will bring, but I'm confident something will find me.
And in international Trump news, despite all of his campaign comments and criticisms about America first and staying out of the Middle East, he decided to bomb nuclear facilities in Iran. They are not calling it war; they are calling it a call for peace through strength. All this sounds pretty similar to the Iraq war when we went after that country for weapons of mass destruction. And all of this took place after the U.S. security agency said there was no evidence that Iran was attempting to build a nuclear weapon. Mr. Trump declared that the agency and Tulsi Gabbard were wrong in their assessment. I'm not sure which is more disturbing....having our intelligence agency be wrong or Mr. Trump declaring that it is wrong.
So now what will Iran do?
