5:12 a.m. - It's a little earlier than I would prefer to be awake, but it's quiet, which is nice. Gigi Amber was amazing for the last several days with lots of grandma time. I wasn't all that helpful, so she deserves all the credit. Grandchildren are wonderful, but simple and quiet home is wonderful too! Yesterday after getting some work done at school, I arrived to Kenzie, Darrin, Karrigan, Luke, Brinley, Brooklyn, Rosie, Knox, and Kollyns at home - some swimming, some in the house - it was a circus.
Yesterday was another day to get through at ICE. The students and the staff are ready to be done, and I'll try to get around more to the classrooms and try to offer some support.
Today....another day to survive with what Kevin Phelps is calling record heat. That's not helpful to staff and students that want the school year to be over. At least it's payday today!
