5:29 a.m. - The calendar has advanced to the last full week of the school year. As I watch the weather forecast, Kevin Phelps is saying colder than normal temperatures and rain starting tonight. I wonder what that does for the energy level of students and staff at ICE.
Yesterday, I focused on resting and recovery for the leg. I did my exercises; I elevated; I used ice therapy. That meant I watched a lot of television and was home most of the day. I did head out to get a shake at Shivers with Amber working, and I did pay mom and dad a visit to check in on them. Other than that, I worked hard at trying to get the knee to look better.
And it does, but I had to work at it. I just wish I could keep staying home and doing that over and over again until I was 100%. I'm tired of feeling slow and sore and limited. I want to feel like myself again.
Today at ICE? Yup...it will be an adventure. I don't know how it's going to be an adventure, but I'm sure it will be somehow.
