5:45 a.m. - It was a little rough waking up this morning with the time change, but I'd much prefer waking up in the dark than waking up with the sun coming up. Yesterday was another fantabulous day. I pretty much stayed off my legs again, and I continue to be amazed just how bad my left leg ended up being...it's still not healed. I finished a book I had been reading, and now I've started another. It's an interesting novel by Percival Everett. The story tells the story of Huck Finn, but from Jim's perspective. I'm enjoying it. The other book was good too...a book basically that was a journal of birdwatching and wonderful drawings of birds by Amy Tan. I wish I had that artistic ability. It was interesting, too, to read the journal entries amidst the COVID outbreak. I, of course, watched some basketball, but I also did get out to check the mouse traps, get some cat food and dog food, and visit the farm to check in on the folks.
Today will hopefully be a good Monday, although I'm guessing there will be some tired elementary children working to adjust to the time change. With the HHR at Slayden's, I'm hoping to get it repaired and have the truck go in. That reminds me that I need to take my checkbook and get my running board in the back to have it reinstalled. The weather looks favorable, at least, so that' good news. Plus, Friday is another SIP day, so that's something to look forward to. I do have a school board meeting tonight, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue; I don't have much to do other than recognize our second grade student of the month.
I haven't received all the payments yet, but after I receive payment for the supersectional game, my total made for the post season this year should be $624. That will help pay for the repairs I'm going to have done to the HHR and the GMC this week! (easy come, easy go)...well that wasn't the case for me this time, so (difficult go, easy go).
