9:31 a.m. - I'm currently captivated by the periodical cicadas in the forest preserve at Loud Thunder. The 13-year and 17-year cicadas are emerging in the same year this year, so there are a bunch of them.
I did survive yesterday...we had a long double-header of softball, and then we had two fresh-soph girls basketball games at Sherrard. I survived...that was the goal.
Today I have an interview at 2 p.m., and I think I'll try to do some research while waiting from a phone call from Floyd Vroman. I'm trying to reach him to talk about some of the questions I have regarding the one-room schools in the Rockridge School District.
