5:39 a.m. - I'm losing brain cells umpiring this week. Two games last night....the first 18-0...the second 17-0. Ugh. That's coming off of Monday's 18-1 game. I hope today's games at AlWood will be a little closer. It should be because both teams are pretty good. At least I get to work with my friend Jason...that helps.
The seeds for the postseason came out. That means assignments should be coming out fairly soon. It's always interesting to find out where I will be headed. I worked the state finals last season, so that means I will likely not do that this season. Best guess is that I will just go to a sectional final and then be done. That's not exactly a bad thing...that frees up more camping weekends.
Today at school is a FRW, and then we start our next and last unit - the novel unit. The rest of the school year should pretty much be all downhill from here if students just cooperate - read, think, analyze, discuss - it's not that hard...just takes a little brainpower.
The weather is looking a little interesting for my camping weekend...a storm is possible on Friday and Sunday....Mother Nature is just so silly, but she rules, so I'll comply and adjust as needed.
