Monday, May 8

6:06 a.m. - The past weekend was packed full of stuff.  Friday night was a good night for Amber and I to be around the fire after going to the casino and having a buffet dinner.  Yes, we set up the camper at Loud Thunder, went to the casino and ate, and then went back and had some campfire time.  Saturday morning we got up and had some breakfast and then went home for some work detail.  I worked on the pool and mowed the grass, and Amber worked on the basement clean-up job.  And then Saturday afternoon we got back out to the campground and took a hike before making supper.  Jack and Rhonda visited, and the Shawn and Mary joined us for campfire time.  Sunday was busy too.  Amber to the Harrison grandchildren to Sunday school, and I packed up the camper, returned it home, and unpacked the camper.  Then Amber and the grandkids arrived back as I was attempting to clean the pool again and get it ready for swimmers.  With temps at or near 90 degrees, there were folks wanting to have a swim day, so that's what we did.  After a few hours, I could barely stay awake, so I took a quick nap and then attempted to split more firewood.  That didn't last long because the storms fired up, and I packed back up, and headed home.  

Today is back to routine...school day...softball day.

• figure out semester exams (I do have tests for both novels.)

• score video she sent in email

• Update/Register for IHSA - volleyball, softball, basketball- begins Monday, May 8
• Split wood at Shawn's
