6:24 a.m. - Yesterday the weather was beautiful...I needed that. The umpiring at Monmouth-Roseville was still a long affair, but at least the weather was nice. Jason and I went and had supper afterwards at Dairy Queen, and that was nice too. The school day also went fine.
Today it's Friday, and it's get-a-way day to the campground! Just going to Loud Thunder again...nothing fancy, as I need to mow the yard and work on the pool this weekend, so I didn't want to go very far away. I do have a goal to explore a different trail this weekend and get a view of Big Branch Creek from the south side of the creek.
I got my softball postseason assignment yesterday...I'm heading to Annawan for a 1A regional. I know my partners, which is good. We are working three-man, which is also good. There is a clear-cut favorite...also good. I may not go any farther in the postseason...got my "warning message" from the IHSA yesterday too. I'm pretty sure this may be good too...the drives to available sectionals don't look very appealing. My guess is that I'll have a 3A/4A regional next week.
