5:40 a.m. - I'm up early today...I need to get a work out in before school.  

Yesterday was a regular day for school...the seniors are starting to get more energized, as their last day is Friday.  I only have a few of them fifth period, but their silliness and energy grind on my nerves...I'm just getting old, I guess.  Yesterday's softball games at Annawan were canceled; I guess there was too much rain for the fields over the weekend.  I can't say that I was all that disappointed, as I used the time to continue the firewood splitting project over at Shawn's shop.  I got a lot done, and I think I only have a few more hours of work to complete splitting all the big chunks.  There is quite a pile of firewood that has been accumulated.  I slept pretty hard last night, so I guess the effort tired me out a little.  

Today....another day closer to the end of the school year, and another day closer to the end of the IHSA softball season.  I'm still waiting to see what the assignments are for the regional assignment, and I'm still waiting to see if I have anything else after that regional week.  I'm still betting I'm going to find myself at at 3A/4A regional in the Quad Cities.
