5:54 a.m. - The weekend went very, very well. Yesterday was extremely productive, even though it was sad. We got up in the morning at Loud Thunder and Randy, Shawn, and I worked on winterizing all of our campers after a great breakfast from Amber of biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, and sausage. (Shawn even kept the campfire going.) The previous night we sat next to the fire on yet a beautiful night. Jack and Rhonda and my mom joined us as well.
When we departed Loud Thunder, that would be the last camping of the season, as then I headed home to empty out the Eagle. Amber and I worked for about an hour to clear it out and put all the important stuff in storage in our basement. After that, it was off to my parents house, where I backed the Eagle into the storage shed to rest until April. Mom helped me back it in, and then we had a nice visit.
The return trip home feature use of the HHR to transport all the recycle from the pool winterization project - bottles of antifreeze and chlorine along with all the boxes. I drove over to West Lake Park and there was plenty of room to put all of the materials into the containers there. I made a stop at KwikStar to fill up the tank and take advantage of lower gas prices.
Back home and it was time to take a quick shower and spend time with Kourtney, Tucker, and Rosie. After that I watched a little football and went to bed...a long day, a sad day, but an important day too.
TODAY? We have an 11:30 dismissal, and I have some school work I need to do. I wasn't in a big hurry to do it at home because the students have to go through an internet safety presentation, so I'll have time. And then in the afternoon we have professional development. And then I have tonight off, which will be one of the last night's off for awhile.
