5:41 a.m. - One long day down, one more long day to go.  Starting out with the Harrison kids and granddog Sophie was a little rough yesterday.  Then I had to use my prep up to cover another teacher.  Then I had seventh period filled with seniors for the EN101 check-in process.  Then I had to officiate volleyball.  Fortunately I was with Braeden, so that helped.

Today will be a long day...perhaps the longest of the week.  It's presentation day, which isn't hard, but it's typically mentally draining.  Much of teaching is like "pulling teeth"...assigning students speech presentations falls into that category.  Plus, I videotape the presentations, so students can view themselves and there's a process to that which takes time.  I have to load the files on my computer, then I have to download them to a Google Drive folder, and then I have to name them and share them with the respective student.  It's not hard...just time consuming.  In the end, all the effort and work is worth it for most of the students.  So after it's all done, I look back and know I helped most of the students.  During the process, though, there are times I just want to scream.

After that fun, I'll be off to Kewanee, and I won't be with Braeden.  Driving to and from assignments without a driving partner just isn't as fun.

So...get through the day...get to tomorrow...start focusing on the three-day holiday weekend.
