8:56 a.m. - I'm currently on dog and Luke daycare instead of being at the campground, so I have a few minutes with Luke on my lap to complete this entry. It's been a fun weekend so far, and there have also been adventures. The main adventure has been the battle of the little dang stink bugs. They are think in the after noon with the unusual warm October temperatures. Yesterday we tried to spray water and dawn dish soap around the windows and openings, and I think it helped a little. Also yesterday when the Harrisons arrived we went on a long hike, played on the playground, collected some acorns, built a small campfire, and made smores. Last night's sleep didn't go so well with Luke and me, but that was to be expected.
Prior to the kids' arrival, Amber and I road our bikes, and I also went for quick trip down to the lake to see the water and throw in the last few worms that remained in the cartons. We are staying at the horse corral area now, but we made the executive decision to just leave the Eagle at Loud Thunder for the week. I already wanted to be there beginning next Thursday...why not just spend a little more money and leave it there. Even if I don't make it out, I'm saved the trouble of bringing it back home and then hooking up all over again. Now if I just didn't have school and parent-teacher conferences. So after Luke goes home, I'll be going back to the campground to move the camper to Deer Haven. I think the weather is supposed to be even windier today, so I'll likely take another hike and watch some leaves fall. If the rain gets here, I may come back home late tonight; otherwise, I'll get up early in the morning and come home and get ready for school.
