6:15 a.m. - It's a cold one, so yesterday after school and before volleyball officiating, I drained the water out of the tanks and the hot water heater, and I opened up all the faucets and valves. I don't think anything will freeze up and break over this two-day cold snap, but draining all of that out of the system is a little insurance I hope.
Yesterday was a tough one...didn't feel well, but I needed to be inspiring. I tried, and I'll try again to inspire students to put effort into their writing assignments. As I've probably said before, if I were to only give them one day to complete their assignments, they would complain. On the other hand, if I give them a week, and they only commit a day of effort, why provide a week?
We have one more volleyball match tonight. I'm with my regular partner again, so that will help.
