6:11 a.m. - Yesterday went by okay for a Tuesday to start off the work week. The only bad thing was that I learned I probably won't be camping in Darlington this weekend, and that's a bummer. I guess this weekend will include winterizing the pool and closing it for the winter...not the funnest job, but it still needs to get done. I did have my last scheduled volleyball assignment of the summer/fall. That's always something good to look forward to. It wasn't any big deal...the folks at North Scott are good to work for.
Today is PSAT day. I wish more of our students had signed up to take the assessment, and I really thought there would be more. There are only four or five out of the two English III sections, while there all but one or two out of the advanced sections. This doesn't bode well for the results on the spring SAT. I did spend some time talking about the assessment yesterday in class, and we've spent all semester working on SAT style questions. They are as prepared as they can be at this point, so it will be good to see some data come back from this assessment. And it's Free Read Wednesday, which is always, always a good thing.
Tonight won't be so good. I have to work volleyball at Geneseo. This is another match that I was tricked into working. I thought it was going to be just freshmen, but I'm also required to go line judge the varsity match too. This really ticks me off, but I had already accepted the match. I have to do the same thing tomorrow. I guess life is always a learning lesson. I do work with the same partner both nights, and I've never met him, so it will be interesting meeting someone new.
