6:00 a.m. - Last night at West Central wasn't fun. Tonight at West Central is going to be even less fun. I did get to ride with Marcus and will ride with Shawn and Marcus tonight. I did get to see Carmen and will see Carmen again tonight.
I woke up this morning to see that my girls regional assignment is a 1A regional in Varna, Illinois. Holy hell that's a drive. What a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day on the 14th and also go there on the 17th...it's only about 2 hours. Geez Louise! Maybe I'll get lucky, and someone from this area will be going too so I can car pool,
Yesterday at school was a bit energetic with the whole "recommended mask" thing. I wore my mask and a couple of students asked me about it, but that was about it. There were many students who started the day with masks, but many fewer by the end of the day. Other school districts are following the same game plan - recommended but not mandatory, which for most folks means they are not going to mask up. I just hope we don't get girls and basketball players sick for their upcoming post-season tournaments.
Today should be much like yesterday. I'm going to assign Khan Academy SAT prep, and then students can have an opportunity to collaborate about their projects.
