8:17 a.m.  - Rockridge is on a 2-hour late start today!  The temps are very cold, and today is Friday, so this is a good chance to try out this late start schedule thing.  As of now, I like it!  Class periods will be about 35 minutes, and I didn't have the normal hustle and bustle of morning wake-up.  I wonder how many students will actually show up today.  Yesterday's attendance wasn't abnormal, and I was able to finish several things that needed to get done.  Today, I need to finish up my grades and get them to the counselor.  I think for classes, I'm going to show a part of a documentary to get the unit on African slave contributions to American literature.  Then tonight we are off to Muscatine to do some officiating.  Tomorrow will be a long day.  We have girls in the morning and boys in the evening.  I guess I do need the money, as I need to pay off my recent bill for the HHR, and I need to pay for my new glasses I ordered.
