8:21 a.m. - Today is going to be a long, long day.  I am scheduled to officiate 8 youth games beginning at 11 a.m. at the Bett Plex and ending at Beyond the Baseline.  I think I'm going to head to my mom and dad's place for a little visit before heading over across the river.  Amber is working at SnowStar today, so at least we are both working.  I'll probably take a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some chips to much on while I head from one place to the other.  Maybe I can pick up a cup of coffee somewhere too for a little extra caffeine boost.  Yesterday, I worked at Beyond the Baseline for four games.  Other than a score knee, the day itself went fine.  After getting back home, Amber sent me to pick up some pizza at The Pizza Joynt - pizza doesn't really like me, but I love pizza.  I ate too much, but today's a new day of effort.  I did get my bicycle set up downstairs in the basement, so I'm looking forward to exercising on the bike.  Tomorrow, with a day off from officiating, I'll set some thinking towards my regular job.  I have some emails to respond to, need to grade an assignment, and I need to think about lesson plans for next week.  I need to remember to get the HHR down to Slayden's either tonight or tomorrow morning.  I really need to get that thing fixed in case IHSA returns to sports.  I did see someone tweet about the start of football season, which is supposed to start February 15.   With that in mind, I don't see basketball starting before then.  It will be interesting to see if the IHSA attempts to squeeze in a basketball season sometime this spring after the football season.

Things that I NOW think about with the coronavirus. (1/3)
    The numbers are declining slowly but steadily, but it's hard to embrace anything that seems like good news.  With the New Year's holiday and now the weekend, I'm wondering if reporting is just slow.

Holy Spirit...
Help me have...
    a pure heart, that I may see;
    a humble heart, that I may hear;
    a heart of love, that I may serve;
    a heart of faith, that I may abide in the spirit.
