Tuesday, July 1

6:01 a.m. - June is out; July is here.  It's a lot cooler outside right now than it has been for about a week.  It would actually be a good morning to spread some weed and feed, but I'm not sure I want to do it today.  I think I want to get the yard mowed again first and then perhaps apply it before the weekend because the forecasts are calling for rain.  So perhaps this morning I will head to the Aledo YMCA before getting to the office.  

Yesterday, I tried hard to avoid working and just enjoy the last day of my "vacation" end of June.  I helped a little with Luke and Kollyns, and then I went to the YMCA for a good workout.  I met Amber at Walmart in Aledo to help with Kollyns, and then got home to do some reading of the book I'm currently working with - a biography on Robert E. Lee.  Amber headed out with Kollyns, and my mom came to spend some time in the pool.  I wasn't ready to jump in the pool, but I did complete the task of trimming the shrubs, which wasn't a huge job but was needed.  There was a threat of rain, so mom went home and I went inside to work on supper.  I prepped some food to try to make some quesadillas on the Blackstone.  I needed more cheese, but the quesadillas were still pretty good. 

And now today....back to the office...let's see how today goes.
