5:34 a.m. - As forecasted it's snowing!  I'm not sure if I need to shovel off the driveway yet, but I may just do it to do it.  

Last night I officiated with someone who was brand new, and it's always an experience to work with someone new.  He was very coachable and very interested in any suggestions I had, which helped a lot.  He'll be fine...just needs experience.

Yesterday before heading off to officiate, Chase stopped by.  He didn't look the greatest, but I've seen worse.  He's looking for work, but he's struggling to find employment that will work for him.  It was bittersweet to see him...I miss him, and I want to spend time with him, but it's also hard to see him struggle with life so much.

At school, the day went okay.  We started the documentary, and most students seemed attentive.  At their age, many students are still very egocentric...what's happening to other people or what has happened to other people in the past just doesn't register as something they should be interested in or waste their time on - especially when there is something much more important and/or entertaining on TicToc or Netflix.  I'll try again today, to help them gain a little empathy.

The day can't be all bad today....it's pay day!
