5:57 a.m. - This will be a long day, but thankfully yesterday was a great day of recharging.  We started off the morning with preparations for the Thanksgiving meal at Kourtney's.  I took Sailor and Sophie for a walk, and then I made my mashed potatoes.  Then we gathered up all of the food we were taking and headed west.  Kourtney's house was the perfect setting for the feast.  All of Amber's family was there, which was great.  

After the meal and conversation we came back home and chilled a bit before taking a little "date trip" to the casino.  I didn't lose much, and Amber came back ahead, so that was fun.  I then drove over to visit with my mom and dad.  They had had another little Thanksgiving, and I wasn't going to miss seeing them yesterday even though we had a Thanksgiving celebration last Sunday.

The holiday was a bit bittersweet.  Carmen's fiance tested positive for COVID, so they stayed home.  I did get to see them via video messaging.  She called at my parents' house, so we all had a nice little visit.  I also didn't see either of the boys - Chase nor Cole.  Before I went to bed, I sent them a little message of Thanksgiving and best wishes.

So today it's not shop-till-you-drop for Black Friday...it's officiate-till-you-drop.  We have three games at Wethersfield's f/s tournament, and then we go to Geneseo for two games.  I'm looking forward to all the checks I'll be able to put in the night deposit come tomorrow night.
