Wednesday, Nov. 11 - Thank you veterans!

7:47 a.m. - No school today for Veteran's Day.  I think I'm going to work on finishing up the winterization of the trailer.  I'm suppose to meet Carmen sometime for a visit, but we'll figure that out through text messages.  The weather has definitely turned colder; last night Mr. Strachan helped me continue the winterization process, and then we had a few beverages and played washers in my parents barn.  It was nice to have a little "guy time".

• work on finishing xmas shopping
• Nov. 12 - 9:45 a.m. check up with Dr. Wang
• Dec. 15 - 8:00 a.m. dentist appointment
• Dec. 22 - noon colonoscopy (prep on Dec. 21)
• COVID test on Dec. 19
• Fix the green door.
• Check gmail messages.
• Winterize the trailer.
• Have shin guards fixed at Monster Sewing

Things that I NOW think about with the coronavirus. (11/11)

Moline, Burlington, Muscatine, and I think Rock Island are going full remote with instruction because of rising cases of COVID 19.  It sounds like other districts are doing what Rockridge is doing...doesn't really matter what the cases are doing until there isn't enough staff left.  This approach seems pretty shameful...why in the heck did we go to all this trouble to make sure we could make remote learning work if we are just going to wait until too many staff members are sick to use it?  Yesterday, the Iowa Governor added restrictions when just 10 days ago she participated in a large rally in Dubuque with President Trump that violated her own large gathering order.  What the heck?
