2:10 p.m. - That was the weekend I needed.  I'm so blessed that we had great weather; we had fun going to the orchards; and I got to spend a whole weekend with Carmen.  Of course, I was able to see Tyler too, and I got to spend some time with Amber too.  She came back yesterday, so I had last night to myself in the campground, but I wasn't alone.  There were some other campers that moved in around me.

Today I got in a great hike around the Wilson Park grounds.  Then I went and saw Carmen at her work to get a hug before I headed back north.  Then I made the trip home and got the camper parked and unloaded.  

I've got some schoolwork I need to do, but that might have to wait until later tonight.

• score and enter John Smith assignments - 1st and 7th done -- need to finish 2nd and 5th

Friday, October 6

6:09 a.m. - We made it to Friday.  I was able to get a lot done yesterday, and I'm only working a half-day today, so I need to get a lot done today too.  After fourth period, I'm getting in the truck and taking the Eagle to Wilson Lake Campground near Fort Madison.  Yesterday I got the GMC into get an oil change, so it's ready.  After getting home, we loaded all the things we need for the weekend.  And at the end of the night, the Bears won!

Thursday, October 5

5:57 a.m. - Last night was long but worth it.  I was able to get some things ironed out in my head regarding new basketball mechanics, and it was nice to see Jason, Robbie, and Coach Hannam from Williamsfield.  Yesterday at school was okay too.  I'm not sure the students are listening to my instruction about writing, but I guess we will find out in the coming days.

Today is Thursday, and it's garbage day, and it's get-ready-for-camping-weekend day.  The weather is looking cooler and windy on Friday - could make for an interesting drive to Fort Madison with the Eagle.  I need to get the truck in for an oil change and check tire pressure, so I'm going to try to do that right after school.  Then I'm going to stop in and visit mom and dad.  Then I'll commence on hooking up the camper and packing my clothes and food/drink items.  So it's going to be a busy day, but there won't be any officiating.
