5:56 a.m. - As expected, yesterday was a long day, but it was also an okay day. We got through a student council meeting, and Jacob Smithers was there to watch, which was nice. Then he and I went to Mrs. Buckrop's room for her Employee of the Month honor - which was well deserved. Around noon, Jim Widdop arrived to conduct a health, life, safety inspection of the building. We then got through the afternoon and then had parent-teacher conferences from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Those seemed to have gone okay. At least I didn't hear of any big problems.
Now today...I start by not going to school to start the day. I'm headed to another check-up on the surgery knee. Then it's back to school for another long day. The building will have a "party day" which is like a Halloween party, but there isn't supposed to be costumes not a costume parade. We are anticipating parents/students violating this, but we'll see how it goes. Tonight I'm headed to the campground!
