7:47 a.m. - Today's the big day, but I hope to get a few things done before the big day.
Yesterday went okay. I took a personal day and didn't do a whole lot that was fun, but that's okay. I picked up my tux, picked up a prescription, picked up the ICE throw back shirts (in Kewanee), and then went to the Black Hawk State Park Lodge to help with set up and be available for dress rehearsal. Then I got the trailer back to the house and turned around. Then everybody arrived....Harrisons, Southwells, Karrigan and Kollyns, and eventually it was just Amber, Kollyns, and me. Then this morning Kollyns felt the need to wake up a 5 a.m., but she and Amber now are gone for their big make-up and getting ready day. I'm going to head to the farm to help my mom get some hay down, and then get back and try to do some school work.
Yesterday the ICE students did have fire day at the Illinois City Fire Department, which was great. They do a great job, and I was able to get at least one local television station to be on hand and do a story.
So let's get this day started! I put a little work into cutting away plastic around the wheel well of the HHR, so I think it's operational again. We'll see if it works.
