6:18 a.m. - The wind outside this morning sounds like a good old-fashioned winter blizzard, but no snow joined the wind, so apparently today will just be windy and cold without the white stuff.  In fact, looking at the forecast from Kevin Phelps this morning, snow doesn't seem to be something Mother Nature is interested in right now.  I guess that's good, as it's going to be a very busy week of officiating.

Yesterday, I finally got started on some Christmas gift giving shopping, and wow are things expensive.  I think I'm going to keep Christmas pretty simple this year, and I'm still going to struggle to stay under budget.  When do those tax return check arrive?

This morning on the news, there was a report of a Chicago suburb high school stopping all sports until after winter break due to a COVID outbreak.  I feared this sort of thing, and I think other schools will soon be following suit.  I really need to keep sports going, so I can get in the extra work and officiating money.

At school, I think I've got the rest of the semester figured out as far as lesson plans for English III and Public Speaking.  I need to get some copies made of an assignment for English III, and I need to start organizing what I'm going to do for the English III semester exam.

English III

• edit English III agenda on the Stream with the day's recording
• create the English III next day's agenda and schedule post to stream
• score assignments and record into Lumen as needed - n/a
• make copies of Smoke Signals questions
• make copies of 1st Semester Exam

Public Speaking

• edit Public Speaking agenda on the Stream with the day's recorded class session if needed
• create the Public Speaking next day's agenda and schedule post to stream
• add assignments/activities/resources to Google Classroom
• score assignments and record into Lumen as needed
• enter scores for Chapter 14 questions
• make quiz for Chapter 14
• make rubric for Chapter 14 video podcast presentations

Other Things To Do

• figure out MerCo JH girls games
