6:08 a.m. - A lot of Christmas shopping was completed yesterday.  I was able to take Cole and Chase with me, so they got out of the house, and I got to spend time with them.  We didn't go far - Farm-n-Fleet, Menard's, and WalMart.  Then we went to Fazoli's and had a late lunch.  Meanwhile, earlier in the day, we had the Harrison kids along with Karrigan and Kenzie here at the house to decorate cookies.  So I had grandkid time before the shopping extravaganza and also grandkid time afterwards.  I did stay up last night to watch the Bears lose.  Did anyone really think they would go up to Green Bay and win? 

There will be more wacky weather this week.  Temps will warm up to Wednesday which will feature record temps and wind warnings.  Then perhaps winter will start as temps will drop back to normal levels.

At school, we need to wrap up the film Smoke Signals; we need to wrap up a little evaluation to journals; and we need to write an essay that is going to be part of the semester exam.  The really good news is that we have a half day tomorrow followed by Jay taking a sick day on Wednesday to have my eyes checked.  

And officiating?  ....Oh ya, we are back to every night this week.  There is a glimmer on the horizon.  As of now, I don't have a game next Monday night.  I fully expect that to change.  Even if someone does find me, I only have games on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, and then I am off through the 26th.
