5:55 a.m. - I visited with Mom and her family in the afternoon yesterday, and I ate some good food. Then Amber and I went to the casino and met up with her mom, dad, brother, and Karrigan. Of course I lost too much money. Then I came home and finished my book. Had the weather been a little warmer, I probably would have done a better job of convincing myself to vacuum the pool, but after a very busy but fun weekend, that's the one thing I didn't get accomplished. After reading the book I started to watch the 1993 film Gettysburg, as I'm not turning my "extra time interest" into learning more about that place and time in the Civil War since Amber and I will be visiting there this summer. I don't know whether it was the food I ate, the movie I watched, or my non-good sleep on Friday and Saturday, or maybe it was the book or the movie, but I couldn't get my mind to slow down and sleep well last night. I guess it's a good thing that today at school, my 100% focused presence isn't necessary.
This week really should be a decent week. My softball schedule won't feature the best softball, but that's been a description of practically all of my softball this Spring. I have a personal day on Friday, and I'm planning on getting the camper out to West Lake Park for another JayFlight weekend. Along with getting a spot in the new campground at West Lake, I'm going to use Friday to mow the yard and get everything done in order to have that out of the way. I suppose it's not good that I just go done with a weekend, and I'm already looking past the work week to get to the weekend again, that's where I'm at with school. I just want to do my best to be done. I hope the weather cooperates a little better this coming weekend, but all in all Mother Nature did give us good enough weather this las time around.
