6:07 a.m. - Yesterday was tiring.  We went to Tucker's football game; we went to Brinley and Brooklyn's cheerleading games.  We came home and hosted family in our pool.  Before that, though, I recognized our air conditioning was working.  Ugh.  I ended up getting it apart and found the capacitor, but we had Tony from Knox Heating and Cooling from Aledo arrive and replace the capacitor and button up the AC unit.  I was very thankful for that series of events.  Then Caleb and Carmen arrived for a visit, and so did Gene Mattly!  I haven't seen  him in a long time.  After that, Cole arrived and needed a place to stay while he's umpiring near Iowa City for the weekend.  He and I stayed up and watched Notre Dame lose another close game.  That was a long day.

Today is going to be long too.  I need to take a volleyball officiating promotion test, mow the yard, and load some hay into my parent's barn.  And the weather is going to be hot again today.  Yuck.
