7:15 a.m. - I survived last night...barely.  Carmen's second interview went well, and it sounds like when she gets a position, she wants to move away.  I get that, but it still tugs at my heart.  Today is a Free Read Wednesday, and I have a good book.  I need a dang blizzard tomorrow!  I could use another day off, then I would have Friday and Saturday with just one game assignments, and then I would have Sunday off.  Maybe I can work out my leg problems with this lighter schedule.

- get scores for vocab & questions for Strangers In An Unknown World

    not due until Feb. 5

• create the next day's agenda and schedule post to stream - for Feb. 4
• add assignments/activities/resources to Google Classroom as needed - for Feb. 4
• score assignments and record into Lumen as needed
• respond to student/parent emails and update grades
• TUES - schedule FRW assignment for Wed., Feb. 10

• Have shin guards fixed somewhere and Kenzie's slippers?

6:15 a.m. - Happy Groundhog Day!  My knee hurts...I'm needing a miracle or perhaps a cortisone shot...ugh.  In other news, my daughter had an interview for a teaching position yesterday, and she has another one today.  I'm hopeful for her!  The weather is looking rather icky for awhile...maybe a winter storm Thursday night and then very cold temps for the weekend.

6:10 a.m. - Yesterday's officiating didn't go well.  I have stressed my left knee to a very painful level, which is bad timing considering the recent IHSA decision to have a basketball schedule.  I really need to shut my knee down for awhile, but that's not going to be doable; so I'm going to shut down today and hope for the best for tomorrow's game at Davenport Central.  I enjoy basketball so much and enjoy officiating, but trying to hobble around in so much pain is no fun at all.

I told myself previously that I was going to stop looking at the numbers.  That being said, this low murmur of concern I'm hearing about the new possible variants of the virus are starting to become troubling.
