Thursday, April 6

5:42 a.m. - I just want this day to go by simply, quickly, and quietly.  I have a little activity for the students in English III because I want something for them, and the Muscatine Community College rep is a no-show.  I'm really frustrated with that person...she attempted to claim to Mrs. Bohnsack that "her system" was blocking my emails.  I also called her at the beginning of the week...apparently the system is blocking her from getting voicemails too.  It's hard for me to recommend to students that they consider a college if the rep is so unprofessional.

Yesterday...rain out at Galesburg..not all that disappointed because I broke out the camper, brought it home, and began the process of getting it "season ready"...when we store it for the winter we take out most contents and store them all in big totes which we take to the basement of the house.  So in the Spring, that process is just reversed.  I take all the totes out and then we begin to fill up the camper again.  Let's just say I got my steps in yesterday afternoon.

So today, as soon as school is out, I'll jump in the camper and go.

Things to do for school

  • send copy of Lex Carter's community college activity to Joy
  • review and enter scores from community college activity
  • lesson plan for April 11
  • assign training path grid assignment in Google Classroom
  • assign training path project in Google Classroom
  • check into costs of Fahrenheit 451 graphic novels
  • work on research paper prompt
    • Write an argument in which you select an historical figure you have encountered so far in English III or U.S. History that would prove to be an effective leader for the United States in 2023. In your argument include research of relevant background information of your selected individual, as well as her/his effective leadership traits (and if you believe those traits would translate to today's modern challenges).
