6:05 a.m. - The weather yesterday was the best of the weekend, but the temps took awhile to warm-up. The day consisted of grandchildren and granddogs. I did get a workout in the morning, and I did get a couple of little things done around the house - got the grill out to the back deck and cleaned the garage a little. I also got the little slide out of the shed and assembled that in the backyard. I did manage to make it to the camper and did a little work with it too. I charged the batter and installed it. I also installed the hitch to the truck. Those things didn't take very long, but it felt good to do it.
Today will be another day of a presenter at school and then softball in the afternoon. I'm headed to Oneida. This will be a long but shortened week. I would really like to go camping this weekend...around the Easter holiday weekend. The forecast this morning for the upcoming weekend looked promising.
All weekend long there was talk on the news and in the news commentary shows about Former President Trump going to New York this week to be indicted. Apparently he's supposed to arrive in New York today and then surrender himself tomorrow. What a circus that is going to be.
Yesterday I watched the Iowa women play in the national tournament championship game. They got beat, and they got beat by the team that played better, but the officiating wasn't very good. The crew that worked the game really struggled. I know it sounds horrible, but it's a little bit of a "misery loves company" thing. There are times when you are officiating that the noise from the fans and the coaches and the players is just deflating. You believe you are trying to do a good job, but nobody else seems to think so. That same thing happens to the best of officials on the biggest of stages. And then thing is...when things are going bad...it's like a boulder rolling down hill...just can't get it stopped...just have to keep going and get the hell out of the gym.
