6:55 a.m. - Well, the weather is no April Fool's Day joke. The weather is cold, wet, and windy. Last night we escaped any damage from the bad storm outbreak. After being released early from our in-service, I went to Casey's and filled my truck up with gas and my gas can too. I was prepared for power outages that I thought would surely occur. And we watched the weather coverage on KWQC and saw many, many tornado warnings and listened to the coverage. We had a lot of wind, and we had some quarter size hail. I haven't gone out to see if the siding or truck took any damage. Needless to say, canceling the weekend camping plans turned out to be the right call.
Yesterday at school was normal for an 11:30 day. Today will be similar to last weekend. Not sure if/when/or how long we may have visitors. Tonight my mom's saddle club is having a trivia night, so I will probably make an appearance there.
I did get in a little strength training last night while watching the NCAA Women's Final Four. Iowa upset South Carolina to make it to the championship game. I also watched a little coverage of Former President Trump's indictment. It's amazing to here the opinions and thoughts of his fans and supporters. Those folks say this is politically motivated because the lead district attorney is a democrat. Meanwhile, the former president is raising money from his situation. I say if all of this is a "witch hunt" with no finding, then he will be found innocent. Let the judicial process play out...no one is above the law. And if he is above the law, then someone just let me know which laws I can violate without any consequences.
Things to do for school

- Write an argument in which you select an historical figure you have encountered so far in English III or U.S. History that would prove to be an effective leader for the United States in 2023. In your argument include research of relevant background information of your selected individual, as well as her/his effective leadership traits (and if you believe those traits would translate to today's modern challenges).
