6:11 a.m. - Yesterday was a mess at school. The biggest disappointment was the microphone malfunction on the video camera. That little NEW camera has caused me a lot of difficulty. I'm going to have to figure something out.
I sent off an irritated email to the IHSA girls basketball director, and I may end up regretting that. Then again, I don't think so.
I passed my softball umpiring test; having the answers always helps.
Last night's game at Peoria Richwoods was good. I had two great partners and one team was much better than the other - makes for a pretty easy evening. My girls basketball season is now over. Tonight I was supposed to go to Fulton, but school is already canceled for them due to freezing rain. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I'm guessing tonight's games will just get moved to tomorrow.
I heard from a parent last night in an email...she wasn't happy. I guess she just needed to express how she was irritated that her son's partner didn't do any work. I responded in an email this morning expressing how I tried to encourage students to choose wisely when selecting a partner or forming a group.
Things to do for school
- Determine Lesson Plans for 2-23
- load final group presentations into folder (3rd period group only one left)
- Determine and post lesson plan for 2-24 - Friday
- score FRW tickets
- Get grades from EN102 - need Emma B.
- Check assignments from Friday enter scores in Lumen
- Score and enter presentation scores - still one groups (3rd)
- send training path update just to keep informed - next week
- work on research paper prompt
- Write an argument in which you select an historical figure you have encountered so far in English III or U.S. History that would prove to be an effective leader for the United States in 2023. In your argument include research of relevant background information of your selected individual, as well as her/his effective leadership traits (and if you believe those traits would translate to today's modern challenges).
