6:56 a.m. - Last night's game featuring North at West was a tough one. Both teams have A LOT of athleticism. Keeping up with them was sometimes very challenging. Other than that, the day went okay. There were about half of my students absent because they attended the state cheer competition to watch Rockridge (who didn't qualify for day two). Having small numbers actually helped some students who have difficulty with public speaking because there was a smaller audience.
Today we have games at Erie...early start...not necessarily a bad thing. I think we are going to Marcus's dad's place for pizza afterwords. It's been a long week...girls' regional assignments should come out this weekend or early next week.
Things to do for school

- work on research paper prompt
- Write an argument in which you select an historical figure you have encountered so far in English III or U.S. History that would prove to be an effective leader for the United States in 2023. In your argument include research of relevant background information of your selected individual, as well as her/his effective leadership traits (and if you believe those traits would translate to today's modern challenges).
