Tuesday, August 11

7:13 a.m. - There was a big wind storm yesterday.  We are very fortunate that we have power, as many folks north of us across the Midwest are without power and may be without power for days.  Here, the worst things that happened was for our plastic play set needs to be reassembled and the pool needs vacuumed.  In other news, today is the first day of school for new teachers, as well as the student teacher that I'm working with.  I'll be headed to school today for a mentor meeting, but I may go earlier to work on my room a bit.

6:57 p.m. - It's been a busy day today.  I met two of the folks I'm going to be trying to help with their teaching careers at school - one is our new agriculture teacher and the other is a student teacher that will be in my classroom first semester.  Then I helped Kourtney cut up a tree limb, and now I'm back at home while Amber is at work.  So far I've created my contact groups for the students for the upcoming school year, and I have set up Google Classroom sections.

Prayer for My Heart
Holy Spirit...
Help me have...
    a pure heart, that I may see;
    a humble heart, that I may hear;
    a heart of love, that I may serve;
    a heart of faith, that I may abide in the spirit.
                                                                     Amen
