8:10 a.m. - I had four umpiring games today; three yesterday. I'm tired. This is the last weekend before the start of the school year, which really won't be anything like a normal school year. It was good to get some umpiring work in this weekend...on more week not having to work at FedEx Ground.
Things that I NOW think about with the coronavirus. (8/9)
While umpiring today, there was very little social distancing going on. Other than umpires not touching the softballs and teams not shaking hands after the games, it's hard to see that any social distancing measures are in place at all. And there was no enforcement of anything either. I can't imagine that this state is going to stay pretty low for cases and deaths.
