Monday, August 3

2:36 p.m. - I had a chance to visit with Brinley and Brooklyn today over at the Harrisons.  That's always fun, and it had been awhile since I had seen them.  Before that visit, I got in a good morning of exercise - stretch, half an ab workout, light lift, run around the village, and a short walk with Sophie.  Now I'm home until Amber gets here.  It would be an AWESOME day to take a nap, but I'm trying to resist that.  I spoke with Doug and gave him his check for the fence work, and then I worked on shucking the sweet corn and washing the beans.  I cheated my diet and had two bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches because there was a ripe and ready tomato from my garden, and I couldn't resist.  And I don't regret it one bit.  Man, there isn't anything much better than fresh garden tomatoes on bacon and lettuce with some buttered toast and mayo.  Dang, that's good.  And as I write this, now I have to go drive back to Viola to get Amber.  Geez.  I should have just stayed there.

Things that I NOW think about with the coronavirus. (8/3)

"What we are seeing now is worse than March and April" - This is the comment that I just heard from a member of the COVID 19 task force.  Areas in our country opened up too early, and students are going to pay for it with their school year.
