5:40 a.m. - Yesterday's winter assessment kick-off event at ICE went okay. I didn't get a lot of resounding complements from the staff, but the students seem to enjoy it, and the ICE student council did a good job of assisting with the event. Also yesterday, we had our new student join us, and he seemed to do okay. We are learning how to best meet his needs, and I'm glad we have extra resources on hand to help in his transition and ours. And then yesterday, I headed off to Mercer County for some officiating. Not much to tell about that experience other than working with a couple of guys I normally don't work with. It was our first snow yesterday that required some work on the sidewalks. I helped out, and I expect I will be helping out a lot when we have snow.
And today? Hopefully we'll get the students outside, as yesterday, all recesses were inside. I don't yet have a lot of meetings scheduled, but each day is its own unique day presenting challenges I didn't foresee. And then tonight I'm off to officiate boys basketball - again with a couple of partners I normally don't work with. I think I'll wear one of my Scrooge ties today.
