6:30 a.m. - I got rained out again last night. I survived the day. Today is Friday, and of course it's raining again. Weather guy this morning is saying temps near 90 with humidity next week...huh? I'm feeling the pressure of getting that damn pool ready, and I know people will want to be swimming in it next week. If I could get a few hours of decent weather to work on the yard and the pool, I just might be able to do it.
I got my IHSA regional assignment yesterday...scheduled to go to Kewanee, but that's not exactly very helpful since start times are 4:30, and I'm really not supposed to leave school until 3:25, and it's about an hour drive. I'm going to see if I can work something out.
Today...survive the day...then this afternoon I'd really like to work on the yard and pool. Apparently, though, we will have a house full of guests - birthday parties, early Mother's Day, grandchildren, dogs, in-laws...basically mass chaos.
Tomorrow...more of the same - youth soccer game, birthday party, etc... Sunday...Mother's Day.
I think this weekend is going to be scramble mode. I'm trying to set my sights on a camping weekend at Scott County Park next weekend...not as much of a scramble mode.
Did I mention I went to the pool supply store yesterday? The chemicals I needed cost over $300. Add that to the filter sand I've purchased, and I'm at around $500 spent on the pool so far this Spring, and it's still covered up at this point. Good grief.
